Lalbagh botanical garden is located in Southern Bengaluru city, which is occupied around the area of 240 acres of land in Bengaluru city and it surrounds with nearly 673 genera and 1854 species of plants that are over 100 years old. Especially lalbagh very famous garden in Bangalore City with its Glass House which is built in nearly one and half acre land inside garden. This Glass House exhibits more than 1000 species of flowers on the occasions of Republic Day (January 26th every year) and Independence Day (August 15th every year). Nursery in Lalbaugh is one of the prime place for the garden specialties which selling trees to the nature loves. There’s a large collection of nursery with flowering plants, cacti, greens, vegetable seeds, evergreens and lots of other varieties (sometimes orchid plants also sold) round the year with starting price of 25 rupees. As confirmed by Nursery section of Horticulture department at Lalbagh they sell Rose, fruit samplings.

Lalbagh Lake and Hill
Lake is spread across an area of about 40 acres and has a maximum depth of 3.5 meters and it is one of the water source to the trees.This is a huge lake and is surrounded with large number of trees which are more than 100 years old, making the best place for nature lovers as well as tourists to hang on.
Lalbagh botanical garden timings
The garden opens everyday morning 6’o Clock to Closed by evening 6’o clock and it has 4 gates to approach – Southern gate, Northern gate, Western gate and Eastern gate
Southern gate (Main Gate) – located near to lalbagh road next to MTR
Northern gate (Main Exit gate): This is a fairly wide and big road. If you go straight, the Glass House is visible.
Western gate – near to Siddapura Circle and located towards Basavanagudi
Eastern gate – This is a wide road and is an ideal place for parking vehicles. If you happen to come from the Ashoka Pillar side, Jayanagar is close by
